This unique mill completes all the stages of yarn production under one roof. Transition Turriefield is a community growing project providing a wide range of fresh, locally grown, fruit and vegetables to the Shetland community. Established in 2011, the social enterprise sells produce through a veg box scheme and to local shops. Opportunities for volunteering, becoming a core volunteer and participating in the workshare scheme are available. Transition Turriefield also provides education, training , support and advice for food growing in Shetland.
